Let me introduce myself. My name is Vicki Donovan and I'm a native Tennessean who graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. I discovered my love for interior design at a young age. At age eight, I would spend hours constructing homes out of old boot boxes. I would build the walls, install flooring, add color to the walls, make the furniture, bed coverings, draperies and I would accessorize the rooms as well. I began my career as a staff interior designer for various establishments in the Nashville area. Like most residential interior designers, I too dreamed of owning my own interior design company. That dream became a reality in 2006. For two years I worked as a photo stylist for Nashville Home and Garden and have written magazine articles for several local magazines. This experience has taught has taught me a number of things; how to think on my feet, how to be creative with what you have to work with, and how to view a room through the lens of a camera so that a room or project is not finished until it's worthy of a magazine cover.

My ability to recognize the personal styles of my clients is where I truly shine. You see it's my job to figure out your personal style even if you're not sure what that style may be. When you live in a beautiful home that truly reflects your personal style you'll experience the true joy and comfort of “being at home,” and you'll find yourself wanting to share that feeling with family and friends.

Great design is simply that, great design. And it can be achieved at any price point. At Donovan Interiors, I believe that everyone deserves a beautiful home and that money really doesn't have anything to do with it.

It's what you do with the money you have to spend that makes the difference. A beautiful home doesn't happen by itself. Planning is the key. Here at Donovan Interiors I follow three simple rules to maximize any budget while avoiding costly mistakes.

  1. Have a plan, an actual floor plan that you can draw out and stick to.

  2. Purchase your items in the correct order (large items first, smaller items last).

  3. Base every decision on previous choices.

I personally use these rules on every project that I work on.

My fees are very affordable. I charge a flat fee of $1,000.00 per room, or for smaller jobs, I charge a per hour fee of $100.00. No project is too large or too small.

My mission at Donovan Interiors is to help my clients design a beautiful and functional space without any costly mistakes. A space that is as unique as the people who live there. Give me a call if you would like to take this journey with me.
